The DPL Oral Care Light Therapy Device is the first FDA cleared LED light-driven system for the treatment of teeth and gums available for home use. The device combines red, infrared and blue wavelengths of light to effectively improve the health of the gums and teeth in as little as 10 minutes per day. With a shape similar to a small mouth guard, the device fits comfortably to accommodate the upper and lower teeth and gum area. A total of 30 powerful LEDs bathe the gums in stimulating, deep healing medical-grade light to reduce tooth sensitivity and improve gum health, redness, and inflammation by increasing circulation and stimulating the gum tissue. Improves Gum Health

Recent studies have proven the efficacy of red and infrared light therapy in the improvement of gum health. The DPL Professional Oral Care Device uses a form of light energy called “Photons” which safely and naturally penetrate deep into the gums to encourage blood circulation, repair damaged tissues, help prevent the occurrence of receding gums and enhance gum color. Many wavelengths of light have been found to be effective in healing the body, however the ones most effective in treating oral health issues fall within the 630 nm to 830 nm range (nm = nanometer which is a means to measure wavelengths within the spectrum of light).

How Does It Work?

The dpl® Oral Care Light Therapy Device uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the infrared and red spectrums, which are medically proven to increase circulation, enhance gum health, and relieve pain. Non-UV blue lights increase the effectiveness of whitening gels by removing tannic stains from coffee, tea and wine, and leaving whiter teeth.

The purchase of this system for medical reasons may qualify you for insurance reimbursement depending on your particular plan and coverage.
