How Does StarLite®-LM Compare To The Old StarLite?
The new StarLite-LM offers a significantly higher milliwatt power level output than the original StarLite device, the treatment area output (the actual beam) is much larger in size and the required treatment time per session is much shorter. StarLite-LM is the only device on the worldwide market that actually operates at full FDA and clinical study supported power levels providing the highest level of anti-aging benefits. What does "FDA 510(k) Cleared" Mean?
This means that the United States FDA has thoroughly evaluated StarLite-LM and determined that though it is capable of providing clinical medical device performance, it is still safe and user friendly enough that one can bring this beneficial treatment into the privacy of one's home without a physician’s prescription. Very few light therapy devices have attained FDA 510(k) certification and only the StarLite-LM product operates at the most beneficial and clinically proven therapeutic Red and Infrared light levels. The StarLite-LM is cleared by the FDA for the purpose of improving periorbital wrinkles however the specific wavelengths of light produced have been shown in many studies to also treat a range of skin concerns including general fine lines and wrinkles, slackened skin, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, large pores, improving skin elasticity and overall skin tone, etc.

Is StarLite®-LM Safe To Use?:

Yes. The StarLite-LM uses Super-luminous LEDs that are FDA cleared as completely safe even though the light produced is very intense. StarLite-LM is USFDA OTC 510K cleared for safe and gentle LED collagen restoring treatment of fine line wrinkles in the comfort of your home with 8 short treatments over 4 weeks time. In addition, the StarLite-LM incorporates a special built-in safety interlock circuit which means that the light function will only operate when it senses that it is being held close to the skin! As such, the light will not shine into your eyes. You may notice a slight reddening of the skin following treatment which should fade gradually within 2 hours.

StarLite-LM purchases are warranted with normal use in accordance with the Guided Instructions, against original defects in materials, workmanship and function for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. All warranty repairs and replacements are handled directly by the manufacturer. The Warranty does not cover mechanical or cosmetic damage resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear or voltage misuse.

How Often And How Long Should I Use The StarLite-LM DPL system?
The StarLite-LM DPL treatment protocol is comprised of 8 separate 20 minute sessions on different days over a 4-week period of time. This involves alternating between Infrared and Red Light treatment on each of the recommended days. For example, day 1 of week 1 calls for an Infrared treatment of 20 minutes, day 3 of week 1 calls for a Red light treatment of 20 minutes, etc. The device features the convenience of an audible timer which will beep upon completion of each treatment session.

How Quickly Will I See Results From The StarLite-LM DPL system?
Most people typically feel and see a difference in about 3 to 7 weeks after the treatment schedule is complete. There is no need to use this product indefinitely as with other low power products. When following the StarLite-LM scheduled protocol as recommended, you may see some positive effects during the 4 week treatment period as well. Following StarLite-LM's clinically based treatment protocol/schedule closely is important because the light delivered is timed for ideal bio-stimulation of cells (collagen) and it is cumulative - meaning the benefits add up!

How Long Will It Take To See Results?
Everyone’s skin varies, but most people feel and see a difference in about four treatments. Because of differences in damaged skin, some people will see the benefits almost immediately and others will need more treatments. Typically within a few uses, people feel a tingling in their skin, a slight warmth and a tightening of their skin. Then users start seeing the fine lines and wrinkles start to disappear as their skin plumps up. Because treatments are progressive, we recommend treatments for at least ten (10) weeks, for best results. For the treatment of pain, depending on the pain level and application, the user may feel relief immediately or after a few treatments. Deeper pain symptoms may require several DPL treatments before seeing / feeling results.

Can The StarLite-LM Damage My Eyes During Use?
No studies have been found to show any harmful effects to the eyes when using red infrared therapy. It is recommended that the eyes are closed while using the system at all times. Never look directly at the lights when the system is turned on. Some clients prefer to purchase protective eyewear simply for comfort during treatment.

Can I Use My Favorite Cleanser, Cream or Lotion Product?
Yes. Please use only high quality non-oily / non-heavy cream-based products.

How Long Does A Battery Charge Last?
Two hours minimum of continuous usage at room temperature. Thus, several treatment cycles can be accomplished per charge. It is best to use the device at a full charge and to keep the unit charged between treatments so the "charge needed" indicator does not come on in the middle of a treatment. In the event the “charge needed” indicator does come on during treatment, the device can be used until that treatment is completed.

Will StarLite-LM DPL Therapy Hurt?
No. Unlike lasers or other ablative (skin harming) treatments, DPL therapy is non-thermal and non-invasive. In a typical application, you may notice a slight reddening of the skin over the treated area which should fade gradually within 2 hours. The StarLite-LM uses Super-luminous LEDs that are FDA cleared as completely safe even though the light produced is very intense.

What Is The Warranty Period?
The warranty period is for 1 year from the date you receive the product.

How Powerful Is The StarLite-LM Device?
The StarLite-LM produces an optical output of 187-189 mW (milliwatts).

Is The DPL Therapy System FDA Cleared?
Yes. The DPL System is approved by the FDA for the deep healing treatment of pain (sore muscles, inflammation, etc.). It is also an effective cosmetic device and for this purpose does not require FDA approval.

How Long Will The LEDs last?
The LEDs are conservatively rated at 100,000 hours with normal use and should last many years. LEDs are not like light bulbs with filaments. LEDs have long lasting solid state chips inside.

Can I Use The DPL system Overseas?
Yes, a special power charger (120v / 240v) is included with the StarLite-LM allowing for worldwide use. You will have to purchase the appropriate plug adapter separately depending on the country you are living in or intend to visit.

Will The DPL System Help Any Other Issues?
Yes. The StarLite-LM is cleared by the FDA for the purpose of treating periorbital fine lines however it may be used to treat a range of other skin care concerns. Simply follow the same treatment protocol that is outlined in the included product manual.

I purchased the StarLite Device from this website about 2 months ago. I have seen great results, the dark circles under my eyes are nearly gone, the pores on my skin are smaller and the wrinkles on my forehead, my eyes and around my mouth have softened. I can see it takes time but well worth it, as its healing my skin from the inside out and I feel the warmth on my skin, its beautiful. I highly recommend this device.

Starlite laser is the best in home rejuvenation FDA approved. I saw a difference after only one treatment. and I have purchased many creams and micro current devices. It will only get better with continuous use. This only earned 4 stars because the springs that hold the battery in place, at least on mine, are misaligned, which is surprising for the cost.
Also the case given is cheap plastic and doesn't snap closed easily.

Improvement in Freckles and Spots	November 29, 2008

It took a good 2-3 weeks of regular use but the age spots and freckles that have accumulated on my face due to my past pregnancies and damaging exposure to the sun have started to visibly lighten. It is so simple to use too. Firstly, I apply some Palmer's Age Spot serum and then gently massage my problem areas with the StarLite laser device each evening for about 20-30 minutes total. I don't know why or how it works, but it does.

I have been using Starlite for 2 months now, and the wrinkles around my eyes and mouth have greatly reduced. It's really a great little device that I now carry with me everywhere so I don't miss a treatment.
