This advanced hand held high frequency machine conveniently plugs directly into your power outlet and does not require the operation of a bulky base unit as many systems used by skin care professionals at salons and spas do. The system is slightly larger in size than other hand-held high frequency wands but still offers the convenience of portability. Also included is a sturdy storage case (shown above) to protect the your system when not in use. This system contains a series of fragile high frequency electrodes. The Jellen® Professional Portable High Frequency Machine offers a convenient intensity control dial which allows the client to adjust the power setting up or down according to individual comfort level. A very low intensity dial setting should be selected for the first few days of initial use. If you no longer feel the intensity of the high frequency current, continue to work at a slightly higher setting. Continue to increase the intensity setting with each treatment until you reach your comfort zone. This level will depend upon on your own personal preference and skin sensitivity level. The Jellen® Portable High Frequency Machine operates at 200,000+ Hertz (cycles per second).

The included electrode set is available in your color choice of either orange (Neon gas) or violet (Argon gas). The electrodes work in concert with the high frequency electrical current generated by the machine to help achieve optimal purification and rejuvenation results. When touched to the skin, the electrodes will produce a safe, therapeutic glow as well as skin purifying, enriched oxygen molecules. Which System Will Work Best For Me, Orange or Violet?
The Jellen Professional Portable High Frequency Machine may be purchased with an orange (Neon gas) OR a violet (Argon gas) high frequency electrode set. These electrode sets may not be mixed or substituted. We have found both the orange and violet electrodes to be equally effective in treating a range of skin concerns from acne to wrinkles. The color of the electrode set is simply a matter of personal preference. Please note that the violet electrodes DO NOT produce harmful UV rays!

Product Warranty:

The Jellen® Professional Portable High Frequency Machine is warranted with normal use in accordance with the Guided Instructions, against original defects in function for a period of (1) year from date of purchase. Warranty service may be obtained by returning the appliance to us, shipping prepaid, along with original proof of purchase and a check for $10.00 USD to cover return postage and handling costs. The Warranty does not cover mechanical or cosmetic damage resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, improper voltage use or accidental glass bulb breakage.

How quickly will I see results?

Some will notice a difference after one treatment (improved skin tone, tightening effect, improvement in the appearance of acne) while others will require more treatments to recognize the full benefits. As is true with any holistic, in-home skin rejuvenation system, results are cumulative and can vary by individual skin type and concern. Each treatment builds upon the last. High frequency can also greatly maximize the benefits of your current creams, lotions and serums by helping them to absorb much more deeply below the dermis than if you simply use them on a standalone basis. If you have been disappointed by the performance of your existing skin care product line-up, use the professional grade high frequency system in conjunction with them and notice the enhanced performance.

How long does treatment take?

High frequency treatment is not time consuming and only requires between 2 to 5 minutes per day. This will vary depending on your skin type and concern(s). More frequent application or applying beyond recommended treatment time will not enhance results. Use the system according to the usage guidelines for best results.

How often can I use the system?

We recommended treating with high frequency no more than once per day. More frequent application or applying beyond recommended treatment time will not enhance results. Use the system according to the usage guidelines for best results. Depending on where you live, high frequency can be somewhat drying especially during the winter months. If you find that your skin gets too dry with treatment, we recommend cutting treatment to once every 2-3 days and following up with a quality moisturizer.

Should I use a conductive gel with high frequency?

Using a special conductive medium (gel) during high frequency treatment to improve glide is not necessary and will not improve the performance or benefits derived from treatment. Instead, for best results we advise applying your favorite skin care lotion, cream or serum to your skin prior to high frequency application (for anti-aging treatment). Those with acne-prone skin can apply their acne lotion or cream following high frequency treatment to avoid over drying.

How much current will I feel?

High frequency is a low level oscillating current that can be very soothing, relaxing and revitalizing. A slight tingling or zapping will be felt during treatment. Facial sensitivity rates vary from individual to individual. You can lower or raise the intensity during treatment to suit your personal comfort level by turning the power dial at the end of the wand unit up or down. This machine is effective even at the lowest intensity setting. It is not necessary to use an extremely high power level to achieve maximum benefits from treatment. For best results, the key is treatment consistency (i.e. using the system regularly according to the usage guidelines).

Can I use high frequency in conjunction with other skin care technologies? Yes! Many of our customers have realized amazing results by combining their high frequency treatments with other safe and gentle skin rejuvenating technologies such as microdermabrasion, microcurrent, ultrasonic, red light therapy, blue acne light therapy, etc. High frequency works on skin toning rather than muscle toning. If you plan on using muscle toning machines such as microcurrent, galvanic and/or ultrasonic we recommend using high frequency FOLLOWING these applications so that your skin will realize the full benefits of combined treatment. Other treatments such as light based red and blue LED therapy may be used prior to or following high frequency, depending on your personal preference.

Why shouldn't I use AHA, Glycolic Acids or other overly harsh products with the system?

These products are designed to thin out the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles however they can be extremely drying and should not be used in combination with high frequency treatment. On its own, high frequency promotes a natural exfoliation of the skin using enriched oxygen molecules and is a much more gentle rejuvenation process. If you are intent on using AHA or glycolic products with the system, we advise using them sparingly following high frequency treatment rather than before and be sure to follow up treatment with a quality moisturizer,

Can I use my acne lotion or cream topical with the system?

The enriched oxygen molecules produced by high frequency produce an exfoliating, cleansing and purifying effect on the skin. Because acne topicals can sometimes be overly drying, we recommend applying them following high frequency treatment rather than before. You may want to eliminate your topical's entirely depending on your skin sensitivity.

What creams, lotions or serums do you recommend using with the system?

High frequency can greatly maximize the benefits of your current creams, lotions and serums by helping them absorb much more deeply below the dermis than if used on a standalone basis. If you have been disappointed by the performance of your existing skin care products, use them in conjunction with the Professional Portable High Frequency treatment and immediately notice the increase in performance! For the optimal facial, those with fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin may want to consider combining their high frequency treatment with the following leading-edge skin care products: Platinum Peptide Serum, or bt-Cocktail.

Can I use high frequency on my areas of rosacea or to treat spider veins?

Do not use the system on skin that is prone to excessive amounts of broken capillaries or rosacea. Having a few broken capillaries is fine. Just be sure to avoid such areas during treatment

Can I use the system during pregnancy?

Just as a precaution, we recommend avoiding high frequency treatment during pregnancy. If in doubt, please consult your physician.

Can I use the system if I have a medical condition or medical device?

Do not use this system if you have a pacemaker or other electrical medical device. If you have any other medical conditions, please consult with your physician prior to using this system.

What is the system's frequency or output in "cycles per second"?

High frequency facial machines can vary in design and appearance however the underlying principle technology and operational functions are very similar. Most professional high frequency machines produce a frequency in the range of 100,000-300,000 Hertz (cycles per second). The Professional Portable High Frequency Machine operates over 200,000 cycles per second at the highest intensity level setting.

What is the difference between the orange and violet electrodes?

We have found both the orange and violet colored electrodes to be equally effective in treating a range of skin care concerns. The different colors produced by an electrode are a function of the type of inert gas that they are filled with. The orange electrodes contain neon gas and the violet electrodes contain argon gas.

How should I clean the glass electrodes?

The best way to clean your high frequency electrodes is with a soft damp cloth. Rubbing alcohol may instead be used to remove stubborn residue. If using the system to treat multiple clients, always thoroughly disinfect electrode using rubbing alcohol after each use to avoid spreading infection.

Do you offer more detail on high frequency treatment techniques beyond what is contained in the included treatment guide?

The Jellen® Professional Portable High Frequency Machine is intended for licensed professionals with a fair amount of prior high frequency experience. As a courtesy, we have included a supplemental instruction booklet with the system which is designed to provide general treatment guidelines for different areas of the body and skin types. Should you require additional detailed high frequency treatment information, we would advise consulting with a licensed esthetician.

Usage Guidelines:
1.	Thoroughly cleanse and pat your skin dry. The elimination of dead skin cells is the first step in any effective facial treatment program! To properly prepare the treatment area to take maximum advantage of high frequency application (or similar treatment), we highly recommend starting with one of the following techniques: Steaming for a few minutes using a quality Facial Steamer. Cleansing with a gentle and effective Exfoliation Scrub. Exfoliating using a quality Microdermabrasion System.
2.	Apply high quality skin care serum such as Platinum Peptide Serum, or bt-Cocktail. You may also use your favorite skin care products. Those with acne-prone skin should apply desired topical acne cream following high frequency application.
3.	The Jellen® Professional Portable High Frequency Machine comes with three Interchangeable High Frequency Electrodes (Mushroom, Bulb & Rake). These glass electrodes will produce a neon-orange glow when gently touched to the surface of the skin. We also offer violet-colored electrodes compatible with this system in a variety of shapes (also sold separately). We have found both electrode colors to be equally effective in treating all skin care concerns. Select desired electrode attachment and gently insert into the body of the wand. Plug the wand into power outlet and switch on.
4.	Slowly turn the power control dial at the end of the wand unit to the lowest intensity setting. The wand will now begin to quietly "hum" as it begins its high frequency wave action. When touched to the surface of the skin, the glass electrode, in combination with the high frequency current generated by the system, will produce a very safe, therapeutic neon-orange glow as well as purifying, enriched oxygen molecules with a likeness to the pleasant scent of fresh clean air. It is perfectly normal for the interchangeable electrode to take up to 30 seconds to produce a steady neon glow.
5.	Maximize the effectiveness of your favorite skin care cream or serum by lightly sweeping the high frequency wand over your skin in a circular or zig-zag motion for about 1-3 minutes.
6.	Be sure to use a very low intensity dial setting during the first few days of initial use. When you no longer feel the intensity of the high frequency current, continue to work at a slightly higher setting. Continue to increase the intensity setting with each treatment until you reach your personal comfort zone. This system is effective even at the lowest intensity setting. It is not necessary to use an extremely high power level to achieve maximum benefits from treatment. The intensity level that you are comfortable with is dependant upon your skin type and sensitivity. The system should be used in accordance with the included usage guide.
7.	When not in use, ensure that your professional-grade high frequency wand and included glass electrodes are securely stored in the protective travel case provided.

I recently purchased this unit, and I am very satisfied. This is just like what they use when I get facials. I was worried that it wouldn't be strong enough, but it is. I am using this on my acne and my seborrhea. The rake works good for my hair, it feels like it is growing healthier. My acne still comes out, but not as severe and the healing time is quicker. Shipping was quick! The glass electrodes have been sturdy, you just need to be very careful handling them. Upon entering an attachment for the first time, it was a tight fit, but it does loosen after time. Thank you for this machine, I am hoping the healing process takes off, which it seems to be, I have only had this for a week. I am already getting positive results.

After fighting cystic acne for over 25 years, I finally found a product that works! I've had success with facials that included high frequency for the last 6 months and decided to look for an at-home unit. This one is just as effective as what they use during the facials. Seriously, I've tried antibiotics, Accutane, and every topical treatment on the market. This is the only things that works, consistently, and within a couple of days max. Thanks for making a great product. Every dermatologist should be prescribing this - NOT DRUGS!

i bought this bc i spend hundreds of dollars each month fighting acne breakouts. i always ask for high frequency during my facials bc i really believe that killing the bacteria is the biggest battle. i found this product and had to give it a shot. ive used it for 2 days now and can already see where my skin is healing from the breakouts. it feels and smells just like the one in the spa!! cant wait to see how my skin is going to look after a month. my boyfriend is excited about it too bc of the scalp and is interested in me doing his back for breakouts as well. we'll see how it goes but im thinking so far its going to be my new favorite household item!

I did a lot of research before deciding on the jellen portable high frequency. I can say that it is a high quality professional machine that comes with good, clear instructions. Even though it is more compact than the equipment my esthetician uses, I find that it is actually just as powerful and effective. I use it twice weekly and am extremely pleased with the results. I also received my order extremely fast which was a plus.
