How much current will I feel?
Microcurrent is a low level current that is very soothing and relaxing. A slight tingling may be felt in certain areas. Facial sensitivity varies from individual to individual. You can lower or raise the intensity during any segment by turning the thumbwheel up or down on the machine.

How much conductivity gel should be applied to my face?
A thin layer of conductivity gel should be applied to your face to allow the current to be transferred directly to the muscles and to glide the NuFace® device easily over the contours of your face without pulling the skin. DO NOT allow the conductivity gel to dry while performing your NuFace® treatment. Spray the Optimizing Mist over the conductivity gel to keep moist.

How long does the treatment take?
The treatment takes roughly 5+ minutes. Use the Advanced Techniques (view video) for enhanced results.

Why do I have to stay out of the mouth and eye areas?
The mouth and eye area are circular muscles and need to be treated in accordance of the muscle direction. Due to the design of the NuFace® device, it can not work those muscles properly and those muscles should be avoided. However, microcurrent does travel so improvement will be seen around the mouth and eyes.

How fast should I be gliding the NuFace® device??
Take your time with the NuFace® treatment; each step should be roughly a long 5 count (one- one thousand, two-one thousand, etc.). When using the advanced techniques, hold each point for 5 seconds.

When should I lift my face, in the morning or night?
You may use the NuFace® device once a day, at anytime that fits your schedule. The NuFace® device acts as an extension of your daily skincare regimen.

Can the NuFace® device be used wearing make-up or skin care products?
Yes. A skincare serum (with the exception of Vitamin A) can be applied to your clean dry skin before the conductivity gel. The microcurrent will penetrate the serum deeper. The NuFace® device may only be used with a conductive liquid or gel medium such as the included Derma-Gel product or our NuFace compatible Jellen® Organic Skin-Firming Conductive Gel for facial machine use. The NuFace Optimizing Mist is used post treatment as a finishing spray and can be applied during treatment to keep the conductivity gel moist. All products including serums can be ordered through www.jellenproducts.com. Your skin should not have any make-up or moisturizers on before using the NuFace® device.

How many times a week should I use the NuFace® device at home?
Within the first 90 days we recommend to use the NuFace® at least 5 times a week. Then, use the NuFace® at least 2-3 times a week to maintain the lift and tone.

How long do these results last?
The treatment results are cumulative. Results from one NuFace® treatment should last approximately 24-72 hours.

Can I lift my face more than once a day at home?
Any more often than once in a 24 hour period is not recommended as the muscles need some rest time between treatments. Extend treatment time or incorporate the advanced technique for optimal results.

Can I use the NuFace® device if I have rosacea, acne, broken capillaries or skin cancer?
NuFace® can be used on rosacea, acne and broken capillaries. We recommend lowering the intensity of the NuFace® to avoid sensitivity issues. NuFace® should not be used if you have skin cancer. Consult your physician prior to use.

I have used other facial stimulators and they contract the muscles, the NuFace® device is not?
The NuFace® device utilizes microcurrent. Microcurrent is a low level current that gently stimulates the facial muscles for long term strength and tone. The NuFace® device will NOT contract the muscles. In certain areas you may feel a slight tingling as the muscles come into balance or if conductivity gel begins to dry (reapply or reactivate with Optimizing Mist).

If I am planning cosmetic surgery, can I use the NuFace® device?
Yes. But most importantly consult your surgeon and follow the doctor’s recommendations. The NuFace® device can be used before surgery to enhance tonicity and balance of the facial muscles. The NuFace® device may also be used after surgery to aid in reducing puffiness and maintain the work of the surgeon. The NuFace® device may be used in conjunction with other facial treatments and injectables.

How do I know the NuFace® device is working?
The NuFace® device does not make noise, vibrate, rotate or beep. The green power indicator light will illuminate notifying you the NuFace® device is on and the treatment is ready to begin. To ensure NuFace® device is working properly, turn the NuFace® device on HIGH, without any conductivity gel, touch both probes to your cheek area or forehead. Start by cleaning your face with a non-oil based cleanser. Men should shave before using the NuFace® device as hair can interfere with the conductivity of the probes. Facial areas under a beard or mustache cannot be treated. The elimination of dead skin cells is the first step in any effective facial treatment program. To properly prepare the treatment area to take maximum advantage of the NuFace Microcurrent application, we would recommend:

• Steaming for a few minutes using a quality Facial Steamer
• Cleansing with a gentle and effective Exfoliation Scrub
• Using a professional-grade Microdermabrasion Machine

When using the NuFace® device make sure you are positioned in front of a mirror in a well-lit room.

Generously apply the included Nuface Derma-Gel to areas requiring treatment prior to application.

Jaw Line

• Position the bottom probe on your jaw line with the top probe slightly above the bottom probe (starting on your nasolabial fold).
• Slowly glide your NuFace® device from the jowl area to the lobe of your ear.
• Repeat a total of three (3) times gliding the NuFace® device very slowly.

Lower Cheeks

• Position the bottom probe slightly under your cheek bone, by the corner of your mouth and staying outside your circular mouth muscle, with the top probe slightly above the bottom probe (starting on your nasolabial folds).

• Thighs: Position the NuFace® probes slightly above your knee on your inner thigh, slowly glide your NuFace® upward to upper thigh, take steps outward toward your outer thigh. Repeat each step 4 times. Repeat instructions for your opposite thigh.


• Buttocks: Position the NuFace® probes on the bottom of your inner buttocks, slowly glide your NuFace® upward toward the top of your buttocks, take steps outward toward your outer buttocks. Repeat each step 4 times. Repeat instructions for opposite side of your buttocks.


• Hands: Position the NuFace® probes at the knuckle of pointer finger, slowly gliding your NuFace® toward your wrist. Take a step over to middle knuckle, slowly gliding toward your wrist and again at your pinky finger slowly gliding toward your wrist. Repeat each step 3 times. Repeat instructions for your opposite hand.


• Stomach: Position the NuFace® probes slightly off-center on your lower stomach, slowly glide your NuFace® upwards toward your upper stomach. Take steps to your left, lifting entire left side of your stomach. Repeat each step 4 times. Repeat instructions for opposite side of your stomach.
